The Georgetown Township area is rich with history which is preserved and made available by the Jenison Historical Association (https://www.jenisonhistory.org/) at the GTPL Local History Room. The Local History Room is located on the lower level of the Georgetown Township Library and Township office complex and is staffed by volunteers from the Jenison Historical Association on Wednesdays from 11AM-1PM (or by appointment). To visit the room, head left past the coffee area and follow the stairs to the lower level. An elevator is located in the Township offices which will take you to the lower level as well.
Do you have Jenison area yearbooks you no longer need? The Local History Room is looking to fill some gaps in their yearbook collection. Please check our list of missing yearbooks and consider donating yours. Thanks for your help!
