Jim Wierenga has resided in the Jenison/Grandville area all of his life. He and his wife, Sheila, have been married since 1988 and enjoy raising their 8 children in the Township. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and has worked as a commercial litigation attorney since 1994 starting with a large firm in Grand Rapids and eventually breaking off to start a smaller specialty practice with a partner.

Jim sits on the Board of Michigan Family Forum and serves as an allied attorney for the Alliance Defense Fund on cases involving constitutional law and religious liberties. In his free time he enjoys coaching his kids’ teams, volunteering at his church and playing almost any kind of sport. He hopes to grow young right here in the Township.
