NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF GEORGETOWN CHARTER TOWNSHIP

AND OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Georgetown Township Board is changing the meeting time for the Monday, May 13, 2019 meeting from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Georgetown Township Offices, 1515 Baldwin Street, Jenison, Michigan, for the purpose of an update from the Ottawa County Road Commission.  Note that this is only a presentation and no formal action will be taken until the regularly scheduled meeting resumes.

Baldwin Street Streetscapes



Motion:           to approve authorizing the Superintendent to continue to engage MC Smith and Associates to develop complete construction plans, based on the drafts presented, for the properties located at 60 Baldwin and the Cottonwood Dr./Baldwin St. intersection, as recommended by the Finance Committee.

Video Franchise Agreement



Motion:           to approve the Uniform Video Service Local Franchise Agreement with AcenTek, as recommended by the Finance Committee.

Resolution for Idema Explorers Trail



Motion:           to approve the following resolution, as recommended by the Services Committee.


GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP BOARD RESOLUTION

FOR MICHIGAN NATURAL RESOURCES TRUST FUND GRANT

APPLICATION FOR THE IDEMA EXPLORERS TRAIL


WHEREAS, the Board of the Township of Georgetown stands firmly committed and supportive of the Idema Explorers Trail in Ottawa County; and


WHEREAS, the Township Board is excited about the project and is so strongly supportive of the expansion project because there is great value for the Township residents and residents of neighboring communities; and 

WHEREAS, the Georgetown Township Community welcomes the new opportunities for the Township residents who will enjoy this trail and have new recreational activities; and

WHEREAS, the Board of the Charter Township of Georgetown stands firmly committed to supporting this project;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Township Board acknowledges that if the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grant application for the Idema Explorers Trail – Jenison Mill Segment - is selected for award, Georgetown Township will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Ottawa County that acknowledges a grant encumbrance on parcel 70-14-13-200-022.
