Please Note:  While we will do our best to make this experience positive for our community, we anticipate it will not be without technical difficulties.  We ask for patience while we navigate and troubleshoot issues that arise, and invite you to attend our meetings in person if this virtual option does not meet your needs.

Motion:     To adopt the staff report as finding of fact and to approve the resolution as recommended by the Planning Commission.

Receive Application for Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate Application (Act 198) from Automated Machine Systems, Inc., 6651 Pine Ridge Court, Jenison, MI, 49428, P.P. # 70-14-22-477-003.



Motion:           To  approve the following resolution to receive an application for an Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate, to request a Follow-up Report providing the number of jobs produced and the benefit to Georgetown Township for their previous Industrial Facilities Exemption, and to schedule a public hearing for March 22, 2021, as recommended by the Finance Committee:


RECEIVING AUTOMATED MACHINE SYSTEMS, INC.

6651 PINE RIDGE COURT CERTIFICATE APPLICATION (ACT 198)

            Whereas, Automated Machine Systems Inc., has submitted an application for an Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate; and

            Whereas, the Township Board of Georgetown Township must approve or disapprove said application in accordance to Act 198 of 1974; and

            Whereas, section 5 of Act 198 of 1974 requires the hearing of opinion from the applicant, the assessor and the affected taxing units.

            BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held March 22, 2021 to hear public opinion concerning said application.

Appoint Alternate for Board of Review


Motion:     to approve the appointment of Richard Brazeau as the Alternate to the Board of Review with a term ending on 12/31/2022, as recommended by the Finance Committee.

Change to Code Enforcement Complaint Form


Motion:     to authorize the Superintendent to change the information on the Complaint Form that says  “WE DO NOT SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH THE PERSON AGAINST WHOM YOU ARE COMPLAINING” to “ALL INFORMATION ON THIS FORM WILL BE TREATED AS PUBLIC INFORMATION”, and to end the practice of redacting the information listed under the Person Making Complaint section when a copy of the form is requested under the Freedom of Information Act or otherwise.
