The Georgetown Charter Township Department of Public Works (DPW) operates under the direction of the Department of Public Works Supervisor, Joel Hanenburg.

The Township DPW serves over 14,000 households and over 40,000 customers with water and sewer. The Township purchases water from the City of Wyoming and sewage treatment services from the City of Grandville. The Township is one of 10 wholesale customers on the Wyoming water system. We are a distribution system only. All water is produced from Lake Michigan by the City of Wyoming.

The Township DPW currently has between $175 and $200 million worth of infrastructure.

You may place your payment in the Township payment drop box located at the south end of the library near Baldwin St. Payments placed in the drop box any time on the due date will be considered on time.

You may now pay online 2 ways:

• Sign up for ACH Automatic Payments. Payments are made directly from your bank account. No service fee applies. Sign up with the Direct Payment Application (PDF).
• Make a one-time payment with a credit card or electronic check through utility billing in the Property Information System. No service fee applies to electronic checks. There is a 3% service charge on credit card payments.

Payments may also be made through our automated phone system using debit/credit card or electronic check (by entering your bank account and routing number) Have your utility billing account number ready and call 616-457-2340 ext. 220.
