PUBLIC NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF GEORGETOWN CHARTER TOWNSHIP AND OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Georgetown Township Election Commission will hold a meeting on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 7:15 p.m., at the at the Georgetown Township Office, 1515 Baldwin Street, Jenison, Michigan.

Other Business



  1. This is a School Election and all precincts are involved for Jenison and Hudsonville schools, and the new precinct 17 because Kent Intermediate School district is involved. 
  2. Under the revised law, Receiving Boards are to be established by the Election Commission and the resolution can be for all future elections.  This was done at the April 14, 2014 Election Commission meeting. 
  3. The County will pay the election workersThe cost for eligible expenses for the School Election will be reimbursed by the schools through the County.  The Ottawa County Clerk’s office has indicated that they plan to process the invoices for the election as quickly as possible so that election inspectors would not have to wait a long period of time for their paychecks.
